Richard Wilson, Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester & Royal Court); AMONGST BARBARIANS (winner of  the Mobil Prize, Royal Exchange/Hampstead Theatres); JAPANESE STYLE (Belgrade Theatre); BLUE DAYS (a comedy about the nouveaux- riches), IMAGINARY WARS IN ENGLAND (about a right-wing coup in England), RESISTANCE (Old Red Lion, with Matthew Marsh), RASHOMON (Riverside Studios, Dir.David Tse)Michael also wrote extensively for radio, including HIROSHIMA: THE MOVIE (winner of the Sony and Giles Cooper Awards); THE WIDE-BRIMMED HAT; and HEADCRASH (banned for 10 years by the BBC, with Toyah Wilcox, Prod. Jeremy Mortimer). For TV, he adapted JAPANESE STYLE and AMONGST BARBARIANS (both BBC).
