RICHARD CRANE’s plays range from the avant-garde to West End plays and musicals. For the National Theatre he was nominated Best New Play for BLOODY NEIGHBORS, and for BBC Radio he has written UNDERSTUDIES and Iris Murdoch’s THE SEA THE SEA. He has written plays for the Royal Court, for the Traverse Edinburgh, and the Tron Glasgow. With Faynia Williams, Richard has won a record nine Fringe First Awards for plays premiered at the Edinburgh Festival. Together Crane and Williams founded Brighton Theatre, whose many productions include BROTHERS KARAMAZOV, which was commissioned for the Edinburgh International Festival, toured Russia, played the West End, the National Theatre of Romania, and City Theatre Stockholm.
