LISA PARRY is a bilingual (Welsh) Cardiff-based playwright whose work has been widely performed by new-writing theatres across the UK. Currently under commission at Theatr Clwyd, Lisa is developing her original play NOT (selected and read at The Other Place as part of the RSC’s 37 Plays project); she is also adapting Catherine Fisher’s novel THE CLOCKWORK CROW as a musical. Her play SALEM was commissioned by the Sherman Theatre for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and recently showcased at the Young Vic theatre’s New ’25 season.

Other plays include THE MERTHYR STIGMATIST (Sherman Theatre/Theatre Uncut), shortlisted for Theatre Uncut’s inaugural Political Playwriting Award and published by Nick Hern Books.

Lisa’s audio dramas include TREMOLO (Illumine/Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru), shortlisted for Best Original Drama at the BBC Audio Awards 2023.

A member of BAFTA’s Connect scheme, Lisa’s screenplays include INSIDE THE PIANO SHOP (Hyperobject Studio, London) and Ffilm Cymru is funding the development of THE MERTHYR STIGMATIST as a feature.
