CAROLINE JESTER (Writer/Theatre/Radio/Dramaturg) was Literary Manager and Dramaturg for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre for twelve years working with writers at all stages of their career and on many productions across different scales/stages including EUROPA (Methuen Drama, Bloomsbury), a multi lingual piece that toured the UK, Germany, Poland and Croatia. Other companies include New Earth Theatre, Kali Theatre Company and NT Studio. As playwright, THE DANCING CLUB, had a sell-out small scale tour and was awarded an unprecedented, unconditional award from the Sir Barry Jackson Trust. Other work includes DON’T FORGET THE LIGHTS and a translation of Brecht’s THE WEDDING for Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Audio includes site-specific audio drama documentaries for the Museum of Carpet produced by Peter Leslie Wild.  She was longlisted for the BBC Writers’ Prize and is currently writing episodes of The Archers for the BBC.
