ELLEN DRYDEN (Writer/Theatre/Radio) Originally trained as an actor, Ellen writes extensively for the theatre, including THE POWER OF THE DOG, THE BURSTON DRUM, HARVEST (Birmingham Rep and Ambassador’s London) was nominated Best New Play, SUMMER IN THE PARK (musical co-written with Don Taylor) and numerous short plays, all published by Concord Theatricals – Samuel French. Ellen is also a prolific writer of radio dramas notably her thriller THE LAKE, GRIEF, IMAGINING SOME FEAR, and many outstanding adaptations including the classic serial PUBLISH AND BE DAMN’D: The Memoirs of Harriette Wilson, as well as many novels by Irene Nemirovsky including THE DOGS AND THE WOLVES (all BBC Radio).
