MICK HERRON is a British novelist. He is the author of the Slough House thrillers, the first of which, SLOW HORSES, was hailed by the Daily Telegraph as “one of the twenty greatest spy novels of all time”. The Slough House series has gone on to win the CWA Gold Dagger for Best Crime Novel, the Steel Dagger for Best Thriller, the Palle Rosencrantz prize, several Last Laugh awards, the Capital Crime Thriller of the Year award and the Theakston Crime Novel of the Year Award. His other works include the ZOE BOEHM series, the standalone novels RECONSTRUCTION, NOBODY WALKS and THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED, and a collection of short stories, DOLPHIN JUNCTION. Mick’s latest novel, THE SECRET HOURS, was released in September 2023 and instantly entered The Sunday Times Best Seller chart.
Mick was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, and now lives in Oxford.
