ROBIN NORTON-HALE  (Director/Writer/Opera/Theatre) is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Olivier Award-winning company OperaUpClose for which she has written and directed many new contemporary libretti including LA BOHEME (Olivier Award winner), a radical CARMEN; MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS, Cocteau’s LA VOIX HUMAINE (Kings Place) and an original libretto for Early Years based on Jill Murphy’s PEACE AT LAST, all of which have toured throughout the UK.  For Malmo Opera, she directed LA TRAVIATA, Britten’s THE LITTLE SWEEP, preceded by her own version of the play LET’S MAKE AN OPERA.  For Theatre, Robin has directed numerous plays including REDEFINING JULIET (The Pit, Barbican, for the RSC).
