The Turkish Detective follows the adventures of Inspector Çetin Ikmen (Haluk Bilginer), with each crime story heavily rooted in the varied culture and history of Istanbul and set against the frenzied world of modern-day Turkey.

The series premieres on BBC2 at 9pm on Sunday 7^th July as British detective Mehmet Suleyman (Ethan Kai) arrives in Istanbul to join the homicide unit led by inspector Ikmen. As soon as he’s arrived, the team investigate the murder of a student.

All episodes of this binge-worthy series will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer shortly after 9pm on 7^th July.
